that buff brahma not a cochin

Wow! These are the first chicks we have had and the farm we bought them from told us she was a Bantam Cochin. I definitely think you are right now that I have seen the Buff Brahmas. Thanks for helping us out!

Your first pullet is by a Mille Fleur rooster and a red frizzle hen, and is picking up the mottling from the rooster. The second pullet is out of my mille fleur pen. If you breed her to a mille or mottled rooster, you should get MF babies. Right now she looks buff columbian patterned, but should pick up some mottling as she gets older, I think she is only about 6 weeks old. Will you check to see if they have any legbands on? I didn't get to check all of them, and I don't like to let them go with legbands-too easily forgotten! Glad you like your little girls! Thank you!

I brought him from a mixed bantam bin at my local feed store im pretty sure its a cochin because his legs are heavily feathered. can anyone help with the color he will turn out to be? i will post better pictures if it would help. thanks in advance.

Settler'sDreamFarm :

I just love cochins!!! I have 10 bantam buff cochins, some male some female, they are only 5 weeks old.

We are new to raising chickens and received these two bantam buff cochins for my daughter's 4-H project. Not sure if they are boys or girls and thought you or someone else on this thread might be able to help.
I'm pretty sure Sunny is a girl but are unsure of what Honeymustard is... Please Help!

Hi everybody, my little blue girl has started laying....a little over a week now. I've been hard boiling her eggs, perfect size for my parrots to nibble. Anyways I kept her very first tiny egg, just sentimental I suppose.

So a few days ago she started laying normal perty eggs, so I collected in hopes of incubating them. They've been in for 24 hours now. I'm impatient to find out if they're fertile...so I decided to break that first egg in the fridge. And it was fertile! I'm sooooo excited! My frizzle, Rizz, is the roo. Ooooh possible lil blue gorgeous frizzles, split to mottle. Soooooo excited. *fingers crossed*
