Cochin Thread!!!

By far my favorite breed! I currently have two blues and a black.


I started off with a barnyard mix roo (Bucky) and a Cochin X Ameraucana (Olivia). When that pair died, my friend gave me two blue bantams (Erik and Elektra). It just grew from there. The blue pair had three babies: two blue boys (Tank and Moss) and a black girl (Suri). Of the original five, I still have Tank and Suri and their unnamed cousin.

Oh gosh, the little bantam cochins are cute. I'm hoping to get some bantam chicks next year. cochins and silkies I hope.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to Cochins (or Pekins as I know them)

Here are my Porcelaine (is that Lavender?) bantams. I've no idea if the are hens or roos but I love them already.

Too adorable, Lolita! I'm guessing a black mottled and 2 columbian?
The two lighter colored chicks look like my little one that just hatched and I was told that she's probably a columbian, that's why I'm guessing that.

I'm working on an album showing my first wheaten (yellow down) MFC chick from birth to 18 weeks. I may post some of the photos on my BYC page and I'll put the whole album on the Yahoo site...
