The hen is Blue Mottled just a bit more white then most prefer. The babies are 2 Blue mottleds and a Black Mottled. I looked at this same set at the Morganton show 2 weeks ago. I almost bought them as pets, but had to pass. All 3 babies are girls which made it really hard to pass up. I am glad they have found a good home.

Matt

Thank you Matt for the info. She is my first mottled. What would be a good color to pair her to so the future chicks won't have as much white on them? Would I need a blue mottled rooster or would a blue rooster be good? I really loved the amount of white she had. I was hoping the chicks were girls......Now I am very happy

You need a rooster with less mottling. I have a black cockerel who is a bit under mottled....he is probably black but could be a REALLY dark blue. If black you would get black mottled and blue mottled out of the cross. If blue, you would get black mottled, blue mottled and splash mottled out of the cross.

He is for sale if you want him.

I tried to find pix of him on my phone but only found a few where he was in the background.

Earlier in the year I went to the Lucasville OH show and was planning to pick up 2 White frizzle pullets from Jamie Matts. I got those two birds, but he also brought me a Splash frizzle Male. He is panned by himself with no mate and I really dont have any use for him. If anyone is interested in him pm me for details. I cant ship though, so pick up would be the only way to get him. My uncle also has a Splash frizzle pair he is wanting to sale. These are PQ, again pm me for info. I will post pics here of the birds.

Here is the Splash pair. The cockerel is frizzle and the pullet is smooth. She is actually still laying. Will get better pics if someone is interested in them.

Here is the lonely Splash frizzle male. This bird is very nice, would consider him BQ/SQ.

I may also have some Whites available. I hatched 5 pairs this year and will prolly keep all 5 pullets and a couple cockerels. If I do this I will have a trio of Whites available. Smooth pair and frizzle hen. If anyone is interested in any of these birds please pm me with any questions.

I was going to go with blue, but I just wanted to be sure.

I guess yours is lighter than mine.
Here is a picture of mine.
