I have a bantam that is alot like him - he is a Mille Fleur/Mottled cross. There are no LF Mille fleurs so I don't know what yours could have come from - He sure is pretty though!
I admire your flock. I have just 1 LF, Peaches, a big buff. She is a Queen among all my bantams.

Thanks for the compliment! I thought he was pretty...not much for type, but pretty. He is a bantam. I guess he looks larger, due to my photo angles.
I had thought MF...but wanted to check with this thread, to get a little more impute.

I bought this Delaware colored roo, from the same local breeder. Once again, not much for type, but I thought his Delaware coloring was very striking. She fed her chickens a lot of corn....so I am waiting to see if he looses some of his yellow leakage, with proper feed. He has a matching Delaware colored hen, that came with him.
Any ideas on this color??

I looked again and I see now that they are all bantams. The Delaware colored ones are Columbian patterened. Most Mille Fleurs were developed from a cross of Buff Columbian and Black Mottled.

I just got two roos when I crossed a Mille roo with a Mottled hen. What do the girls look like from that cross?
I got a roo like those above and the other looks like a white Columbian. He actually had white down.
The black one has good type and I will use him to improve type in my Milles . The white one has poor type but the longest foot feathers of any of my birds.

I never got any girls, just roos. I just bred a couple and after I saw the results, I changed the breeders around. I do know that you can come up with several different colors especially between the pullets and roos~

Thanks~ He's actually just eye candy around the yard, I don't have him with any hens, not sure what I would put him with if I did!
