Cochin Thread!!!

ok here's a question for you all...

i've got these guys hatched out today. i bought an assortment of silver and gold laced, buff columbian, red, partridge. the one partridge-marked egg and one buff columbian that developed didn't hatch. i'm wondering tho, if some weren't mis-marked, as i'm seeing a variety of markings on the chicks. the best silver laced i had were black bodied with silver wings, which there are some of, and some other 'speckled' black and yellow chicks. there are also a number with red base and chipmunk stripes... what could they be? gold laced? partridge? reds?

crossing fingers for at least 1 partridge in the mix. i need a roo! of all things to hope for. LOL

helps to put the pic up. LOL just a few of the ones hatched.

35 chicks hatched so far, 1 sfh, 9 red dorkings, maybe 4 or 5 mille fleur cochins, the rest are the ?? colored ones.

the mfc i can tell, as i know my own babies, it's the chipmunk-ish and speckled-ish ones i'm curious about.

I only have one Cochin, it was a freebie from Murray with my order. Does this look like a roo? I made up my mind to sell it if it was, but my husband has attached to it and won't hear of it. Funny thing is, he did not want chickens when I introduced the idea! Go figure.

It does look like a partridge cockerel to me.

Chipmunk is classic partridge pattern in chicks.

Black Cochin Bantams Having roosters at my house isn't a problem, so if the boys get along can they stay together? I have 3 wyandotte pullets and a brahma pullet, a wyandotte rooster, and 1 brahma that Im not sure about. I really don't want to part with any of them. They all came here around the same time and all seem fine with each other, but they aren't very old. The wyandottes and blue cochins are standard, and the brahmas and the black and partridge are bantam. I'm quite attached to all of them, my cochins especially. They will share a coop at night but free range on a half acre with our alpacas during the day. Also is it possible that they are just fast maturing pullets? Here are the rest of the kids, please tell me they aren't all roos. .....

SLW Cockerel above

not sure

SLW think pullet above

Pullet

Those are my guesses, the SLW looks like a boy, the second pic also looks like a boy, not sure what he is though? A Columbian cochin cockerel? Third a SLW pullet, and last pic looks like a wyandotte pullet, not sure about the colour though, is Buff columbian a wyandotte colour?

Sorry, i see four boys and two girls there in the group pic, but i am new to this so i hope i am wrong, they are adorable at any rate :)

Does anyone recognize these pictures? Someone is using them to represent their stock on an auction thread and I am skeptical

I don't know? My chicks that are supposed to be blue dont look like the blue ones but more like the birchen, but one has blue tinted feathers and the other one is more splashy looking.

NO. I am asking if these pictures are being used by someone to represent their stock and they belong to others. BUT I have found a number of these images elsewhere in the web, so I have an answer.

Probably a case of wishful thinking. Hope it was not intentional fraud.

a quick reverse image search shows that some of these pics from different sources, doesn't look legit. Image Exif data seems to confirm that.
