Cochin Thread!!!

Greetings all!

We adopted a blue cochin, before I realized it was a bantam. Would prefer a LF, but this one is very sweet - wish I had acreage so I could keep everyone!!! The vote is still out on what to do. I was hoping to get a second opinion on gender. I was thinking it was a pullet but with the appearance of pink wattles I'm not so sure now (we cannot keep roosters). Anyone care to chime in? I only had my cell phone to take pics with, please excuse the quality:

"Jackie" is a approximately 7 weeks old.
well, most of my cockerels are obvious by usually 4 weeks old or so...

here are a few from my mille fleur cochin pen. the first is a cockerel (Kepiru) hatched november 3. and the second are some pullets. all hatched between november 3 and 9th. these pics were taken december 17th. so he was about 6 weeks old.

Hi everyone! I ended up with 3 pullets and 1 cockerel from my Duane Urch birds. I'm very pleased with them so far, however one has a twisted wing feather that was most likely caused by the wire on the brooder. I did pluck it and am giving it a chance to grown in straight but if it doesn't I'm finding her a new home and she won't be used in the breedings this year. This is the one that's looks most promising so far... I believe they are a little less than 4 months down. I'm pretty sure they are from Duane's 1/14 hatch.

Of course, not the best picture as she was running with the other chicks still. I haven't gotten around to moving the Cochins to their own pen.[/
what a fluffy girl!

Here is my original cochin hen who had two babies last year one hen one rooster, the rooster is now the boss of the flock his daddy seems happy to let him. The young hen looks like her mother only littler.

thats mom daughter and son in front

turkin, barred rock, banty, little hen think thats two barred rocks but hubby insists thats a banty egg he puts up with me so I suppose I might as well leave it as he claims

I have 3 blue Cochin chicks at 6 weeks old.I've already noticed a coloring difference among them. One of them is very light and the other two have darker feet legs and wings. My intention was pullets. Are these darker markers indicative of cockerels?
Thanks in advance for any input :)
