Also just bought this blue Cochin from my breeder and I am excited to see she is growing a Mohawk. Yay!!

I think she must be a cross. Cochins don't have "mohawks" or crests.

My daughter took a few pictures on Mother's Day of some of my flock out freeranging...thought I'd share:
A while back I posted pictures of a few of the large fowl guys when they were about 8 months of age...look at these two that I kept...Big Blue and High Stepper. Even in molt they are looking nice.

Yesterday I was able to get rid of one of the pullets with spilt wings. I sold her to a new 4-H'er who will use her for showmanship and as a lap chicken. I'm confident that they will take amazing care of her and she'll be able to have a great life free ranging and enjoying her days.

Now I'm looking for a good frizzle pair. Anybody know of anybody? I believe Sheryl Butler has some, but upon contacting her I never heard back. Very disappointed in the quality from Duane Urch's birds, but you have to start somewhere.
ETA: hatching eggs may be better in my situation. Some other varieties I'm interested in are black, columbian, silver pencilled and partridge. Thanks.

I would say talk to Casey aka Mr Ree.... he's got some awesome white frizzles and smooth. you couldn't do better IMO. send him a pm, he may be too busy hatching babies to read the threads. LOL

I agree that Casey has some of the better ones. He originally got his from Sheryl Butler if I understand correctly. He is just starting to get eggs now. I would start with him.
