Lice will have little to do with runny noses
Other than it could stress the birds and make it easier to develop the respiratory crud. You need to get some denagard order from amazon or valley vet supply. 15 cc in a gallon of water for medicine and 8 cc for preventative for the rest of the flock...it is contagious and is also air born in dander and dust from the other birds. His kills your birds sometimes quickly..if you pick up a bird you can hear the gurgles and sneezes...or coughing. Their noses will glisten with clear fluid. They don't have runny noses one. Ay then magically well the next, be diligent and make certain and treating wont hurt even if it is the preventative strength. Also dip egg in a solution medicine stretch before yu hatch them no matter where they come from! Or oxine. I love oxine...it is 200 times more powerful than bleach and won't harm your skin...do not activate it with the crystals! I mist my birds and everything with the stuff..We haven't lost a single bird to respiratory stress, since we started using these two products! Love love love it!

Ok, I will do this but let me make sure I understand this get Denagard and put 15cc in a gallon of water for the sick ones and 8cc for my other birds for preventative measures. Can you tell me for future matters how often should I give it to prevent it from happening again.Thanks

Then if say one bird gets something say other birds aren't letting it drink or whatnot then it gets sick (stressed of course from not drinking)then I bring it inside, plop it in a bucket ( tote) and give it denagard medicine for 5 days...try not to go longer as it can have adverse affects on kidneys any longer than that. A double whammy for birds that look real bad is a shot of .5cc of vitamin b complex or 12 in the breast muscle...then the denagard. I personally just saved my first bird that I had EVER not put down with a case of rye neck,with vitamin b complex shots. She is fine as we speak and is off meds convalescing in her bucket right now. Once a bird is sick like this,it goes into a misfit pen and is never bred on our farm. Nor typically do they get sold,as I don't see saving something only to sell it...once we tame it from being handled so much it never leaves...must be a rule...lol
