Cochin Thread!!!

Now that my Emilia is getting bigger do you guys think she's gonna be a Cochin?

I would say its a she and she kinda looks like my Cochins when they were littler. A few of my chicks started getting a tail like that but they are 7 weeks old now and most of them have rounded up to look how a hen is suppose to. Deff a Gold Laced.

These are 2 of my Gold Laced Cochins when they were 3 weeks old. That's about how old that one of yours looks to me.

Cuddles(Left) and Foxy (Right).

Yes!!! That's how old she is. She looks just like them!!!

I am interested in acquiring a silver laced coch, but dont really want chicks right now (I work 2 jobs and don't have enough time to devote to raising chicks) Does anyine know of a reputable source for hens in the NE GA area (Imin Dahlonega)

I guess it could go either way, but I've never seen a pullet hold her tail that erect (unless maybe you caught her "in the act"?). On the other hand, I've got at least one BJG and one Partridge Cochin that have low boat-tails and hen feathers that are starting to develop combs and wattles. I guess you never really know until you find the egg!

I finally figured this out and can finally up load pictures if my babies!!!!

YAY!! They are sooooo cute! That splash looks like its going roo to me. It also looks like none of yours ended up with that split breast yay! All my splash have that bad(its a disqualifying feature in their breeding). You should put a better pic up of River. I love her coloring....great now I want a Blue Cochin... -_-
This is Green Legs at 5 weeks(Left) and his current 7 week old pic(Right). He kept a small comb and waddles till about 6½ weeks old. I REALY wanted this one to be a girl >8(

For anyone that isn't sure what split breast is, its that crease in the middle of his chest on the left pic.
SO! Now that your phone is working that means we get to see weekly pic's of those babies and watch them grow up right???
