I think that most people use USPS Priority Mail to ship eggs. It is a 1- to 3-day service. Tracking/delivery confirmation and insurance up to $50 is included in the price, but you can buy insurance for amounts over the $50. Those shipping or receiving very rare or expensive eggs seem to prefer Priority Mail Express, which is a 1- to 2-day service, has insurance up to $100 included and is guaranteed to be delivered on or before the USPS's expected delivery date for that package.
Sooo... I posted a couple weeks ago about my 3 Partridge Cochin and my 1 "uncertain" Cochin.. Still unsure if it is a roo or hen, but It's very much a family member, MUCH sweeter than the others... (Also havd a Leghorn Rooster Ive worked with... fell asleep on my 5 yr olds bed after a goodnight story lol) But this is Bei... my 1 month old (Color still unsure - Frizzle Cochin) I work with my birds with my Dog, kid, Hubby... Just so their used to noise, light and smells. Bei is awesome... HOPE it turns out to be a hen.![]()
Breeding question:
Is there a difference between calico and mille fleur? I'm thinking of order some mille fleur hatching eggs off ebay and some are listed as calico so I wanna make sure I know what to order before ordering some.
Calicos are just Millie breeding with just too much white so just breed a more solid colored Milllie over the Calico and you should get closer to Millie color.Okay so if I breed a calico with a mille, will I get 50/50, or will it just be a mix or colors or what?
