Now that my little blue/ black Cochins are starting to feather, I want to post a pic and get anyones opinion on their sex since they look so different from each other now. Note: out of all my chicks, these 2 are the sweetest! Especially the blue one.It screams for me until I pick it up and tries its best to "fly" up to where my face is when I peek over the edge.

White one looks like a roo and the blue is a hen based on the difference in wing feathers

Ok, PIC HEAVY!

I need Cochin experts to please tell me what color my birds are. These are all 12 weeks and I know they are still developing but I am so lost with all the color possibilities.


The "black" boy came from a Blue/Black pairing but what is up with the Red/brown feathers?








I know the above is Silver Laced






This guy is actually a Black/Blue Mottled he just has very few spots yet.

Ok, those that I labeled I know but what about the others?

I have 2 that I was told are Cochins, they do have feathered feet, but very different coloring than any other Cochin I see. HELP! Are they really Cochin? Here is the white one: They were both born in April. The other one is opposite coloring Black with white lacing.

The red, white, and brown one looks like a calico.
Second photo I'm unsure, might just be a red.
The last one just looks black.
Looks like you have a lot of mixed and/or unidentified colors also

Looks silver laced not sure on the breed. Either brahama or cochins
