Cochin Thread!!!

These are my new buff cochin bantam chicks. They are being raised by my broody black australorp together with two baby Easter Eggers.

Just curious when cochins typically start laying. I have a variety of 16ish week old pullets. Cochins and others. I think I've started getting some pullet eggs but not figured out who of the 20 something young ladies it might be. I also have several Blue Laced Red Wyandotte pullets so could be them but my cochins seem to be exploring the nest boxes more but some of the BLRW have been joining them.

The middle one is a rooster, and the one to the left may be depending on age. Can't really see that one well.

That one is smaller but I also suspected it too. They are all about 12 weeks. Got in a mixed batch from local lady so wondering if it may be a bantam cochin, much smaller than others.
