Everyone has such gorgeous birds!

I have two blue girls that are supposed to be LF (hatchery quality... and mixed silkie at some point I believe), about 6 months old now and almost at POL judging by red wattles, comb and squatting... YEY!

The Cochin Bug bit me as well. Ever since I hatched these Guys from Eggs I fell for them! This was taken in Nov. I definitely need updated photos to put on here! Here is my Flock of 6 Giant Cochins! I love them! I hope to hatch some of their babies soon!

There is a guy in Manchester, TN with frizzed birchen bantam cochins. At least a pair.

I just bought a nice trio (plus baby cockerel) of gold laced bantam cochins from last weekend. I don't have any good pictures yet. 1 hen is decent, the other hatchery quality. Nice birds though

I love my Cochins and I am very curious as to what color babies my group will produce, but lately I have been thinking of starting over with Bantam Cochins since I live in the city. My big babies are a little too much... I am still thinking of what to do though. Any suggestions on what your favorite bantam cochin is your favorite??

it takes about a year for a cochin or brahma to be old enough to lay. most of mine are 13 months old. they just now started laying really well. my oldest is a blk roo and it took him 2 years to become flock head and for most of the girls to like him.

nellabean where do you live in E. Tennessee? I live in West Tennessee but I go sometimes too Nashville and sometimes(not in a while) too the Smoky mountains. I am enjoying reading these post and looking at all the pics.

sorry forgot pics of mine.

that's all i can get right now. my cochin flock master is "larry" a std blk cochin and the subordinate is "cecil" a std buff cochin. during the summer, "larry's" best-friends consisted of 2 guinea roos, "moe", and "curly". i never saw one without the other. i do have bantam cochins too. i am thinking about getting out of them. they are pretty, but just too fragile. i have a bantam partridge roo, white roo, 2 blue hens.

i am always looking to buy reasonably priced std blk cochin hatching eggs or day old chicks.
