Awww, I think they're pretty! Do you know how old they are? They look like they still have some filling in to do.
TennesseeTruly has a Columbian hen named "Wenchie" that looks a lot like yours.

I'm not sure how old they are. When I got them, I was so excited I forgot to ask! LOL. I think I have 13 of them in total.

Here is one of the little ones. I hope he turns out nice when he grows up.

I LOVE they way they walk.. they remind me of Quack from the Peep in the big wide world cartoon.

They are a little more skittish than the rest we have.. but once you are holding one they settle right down.

Looks a lot like the coloring on one of my little cockerels - I was told that he's pretty shoddy quality. Pretty, to be sure, but not worth showing or breeding - there should be more shiny, dark black in the tail, for starters.

I'm new to the Columbian pattern, but that's what I was told by someone much more knowledgeable.
I'm keeping him though, because that batch of eggs was accidentally sent from up in New England to Orlando Florida for a few days before coming all the way back up to me in Wisconsin - I hatched a little pair of Columbians from that batch of 13 eggs, so they're sort of miracle chicks - I call them "Orlando" and "Flora"

. But they both look like they're not going to have enough black in their tails and hackles and too much black "peppered" all the way down their backs.

Here's an example of the HUGE variance in patterns in the some of the chicks I hatched out (all from shipped eggs):

They're all over the place. We'll see what they look like later this fall - I don't know how much the patterns change in their first molt (but I doubt it's too much).

I want to start over with some of cochinman2005's birds!

On another note, I posted this guy on another thread, but I wanted to post him here too - I hatched two of these out of a batch of eggs I bought that were supposed to be Columbians - now, I know they're just some mixed color, but isn't he pretty?
