Yes, it looked to me like one of the blacks and one of the blues were each roos - kind of hard to tell - I was trying to see which had the redder combs.
Here's a couple pics of my Blue Cochin hen for comparison:

Wow, thanks for posting. She is very pretty!!

There is a big difference in the shape though. The gentleman did have a black one more shaped like yours. The blue parents of these four were shaped like that as well, and huge. They must be cross breeds as well.

I'm assuming yours are Large Fowl. My Bella is a Bantam. In addition to just being smaller, bantams are overall much more "compact" than the LF.

jt673, First of all..welcome. You birds are very pretty and I love them. The black one definitely look like a rooster. Also it is mixed, not that it makes a difference unless you want to breed it for cochin....maybe they said cochin but meant something different. Always a possibility. However, Cochins don't have the muffs..here is a cochin of mine for comparison.

I couldn't get the link to work either. So I went directly to your website - found the Black Standard Cochins page, but no pics???

Have you tried uploading some pics directly to BYC, and then posting?

OK - your link worked that time! Not sure in the pics which roo I was looking at, but one of them sure looks nice!

He is beautiful!! I do see the difference.

I will look forward to seeing what kind of eggs we get and how what looks to be our roos grows up to look like. Everyone's inputs are very much appreciated! We are glad to have them as part of our flock/family and to have a better idea of what they really are! Hopefully they will still have the hardiness and personality we were looking forward to with cochins.

Thanks again
