I got my first Columbian egg last night. I let them free range in the evening while I'm doing chores, and one of my favorite little pullets (they're 5 months and 2 weeks old as of today) was missing. We searched everywhere twice, and finally found her nestled in an overgrown clump of grass, sitting on an egg. She would have sat there on it all night if I'd let her.

How cute! I didn't know they lay that soon. My mottled cochin pullets are about 6 months now.

I have partridge and Millis. The partridges are young still and the Millis are just project flocks - pretty but complicated. I think Blues are so beautiful and Blacks often have beautiful form.

I hope to get millies too, partridges are also lovely. I looked up the black and blue, they're beautiful! And I never thought I'd be interested in those, thanks for letting me know~!

I am planning to work on wheaten soon. What colors did you use to develop your wheaten and salmon cochin bantams?

The Wheatens came from Partridge and the Salmon came out the Mille project probably out of Buff Columbian and Mottled.
