I really can't remember her pattern as a little kid because I raise so many. She was raised in with the others that I hatched only from the father/daughter cross. I tag them as they mature as I see great potential so I know not to sell them. Her leg band color and then number has her as a black chick but I am sure that is from when she first feathered up. I just expected some white tips on at least a few feathers. I may cross her to her brother to see what I will get. I hate to take her back to her dad but that may be a wiser choice. Or I may just cross her in on another project. I just know not to sell my best birds and I am getting some really nice type and wnat to keep it.
I can't wait until she does a full molt to see if I get any white at that point.

They are almost 5 months old if memory serves.

Just wondering, but my mottleds have a veeerrrrrrry slow feathering gene, one of my little cockerels still had bald spots at about 5 months old. Does this affect their 'roundness'?

Sorry, I was admiring them from afar, but I think they are both really nice and I wish I had my splash pullet but she isn't going to be here until the end of March

Smutty cushioned females bred to a well laced male would produce better males than females. To produce the best laced pullets, you want as good a female as possible in lacing, and focus on wing cover lacing and lacing quality in the thighs of the males. If they carry the lacing through the thighs, they should produce decent lacing in the pullets. not much I can write that hasn't already been written. Right now I focused more on getting a deeper mahogany color on both the bantam and large Partridge.

yeah but well worth it thats with shiping too.It took the BYCer 3 years so your paying for all there time and work too.and i got lots of birthday money too so a am fine with it
