I purchased 2 more white bantam hens this past weekend!

One was originally mine 2 years ago and the other is from a well known breeder. My white flocks are finally showing improvement again. I hope this time I pay more attention and do not let them sell or get too old for breeding. I really just like seeing my beautiful whites on the farm.
I have got to get more photos up on my website to show the new lovelies!

OH MY GOSH my sweet black cochin, KKKatie, finally laid her first egg since her molt in November!

November 1st to be exact! I was starting to think she would never lay again. She was the last hold out. All my other chickens started back laying the first part of January.

Thanks Cochin Man. I am so glad you think they are Large Fowl. I was hoping for that. So they are called silver laced, so not like a full silver ciolor, so similar to my Wyandottes. Thanks for the help. They are growing at the same rate, if not more, as our other standards that we have has before.

I am totally new to cochins but I picked up this cutie from Txmel and I love him. He is super sweet and loves to snuggle. My son named him Fuzz. If all cochins are this friendly I am going to have to buy a few more. Thanks again Melanie!
