Cochin Thread!!!

I am so sorry for the losses....my banty coop is semi near the house, where an old shed used to be, so luckily I have power out there. During the day they have a box fan and gallon jugs, that I put in the freezer, scattered in the coop. My big chickens I have resorted to turning loose every morning, so they can find wherever they can that's cool-er.

I'm supposed to be getting some lemon blue LF chicks from Bishop's Chickens sometime this summer, so I'll be sure to post pics of them when they come.

I know that someone on that follows this thread would just LOVE to sell me some bantam Cochin eggs for hatching. I'm looking for barred and buff! PLEASE!!!!

With the heat out there all over the country I would not expect a good hatch from any shipped eggs at this time. It gets hot enough in trucks to damage eggs. I would think your best bet to get a good hatch is to find some within driving distance until it cools down some. Good Luck!
