I am selling out of my Blue and Splash lines if anyone is interested. My feed bill is getting out of hand and I need to downsize. I have them listed on my website as well as here on BYC~
These birds are from Shari McCollough's lines @ Harvest Breeze~

Seriously, I'm raising about 55-60 LF juvenile Cochins right now. I will trade you!

No Thanks! LOL! I have about 100 cochins right now and 10 Phoenix. I was okay until the feed store started raising their prices. $7.99 a 50lb bag of scratch last summer compared to $12.49 this summer. I catch them on sale now and then but it's still HIGH!!! I hate getting rid of anybody though but I have human mouths to feed too!

I hear you. It is tempting to cull early, but I know better. I can't even take for granted what I see in a one year old. They change so much between one and two with the LF.

Some of the culprits eating me put of house and home. Very much teenagers.

I certainly would not cull early. I like to see them at least at 6 months on a bantam, more like a year on the LF.
I may not care for this boy's color but he has the width and type I am in love with. I could not ever get rid of such a lovely fella as he keeps giving me spectacular kids no matter what I breed him to. I just gotta find the girl that gives me the best color from him that I want.

And in this photo, he is not sitting down. He is standing in the grass. That is how wide he always is even though he is molting right now.
There are feathers everywhere!

You just gotta love Cochins!

And work your life away making them happy and healthy.
