Cochin Thread!!!

I have some bantam cochins, silkie babies, rhodies, comets and a whole lot more. My chickens are sure entertaining to
me and such a stress reliever too.

Definitely a stress reliever. My wonderful husband is in the advanced stage of ALS (Lou Gehrig DIsease), totally paralyzed and on a vent living here at home. Needless to say as caregivers, my daughter and I are under a lot of stress. Visiting with my chicks is my constant therapy through all this. One can't help but smile when watching the antics of these feathered friends.

Very heavily feathered feet. He's 3 or 4 months old, I think, not crowing yet. What do you call this color? Sorry my phone doesn't do pics very well.

my bantam cochins are still just youngins and i did hatch them from eggs from other byc members.

i wanted to keep a pair but hmmm i like the barred coloring and the black mottled... i have a yellowish baby chick i need to get a photo of but who knows what that will turn into. maybe a mille fluer project chick... will have to wait until it feathers out

so here is what i have blue cockrel

black mottled pullet

barred cockrel

all three

so what ya think ?
