Oh, c'mon, he needs a bold, manly name. Those sound kind of feminine.

He looks more like a Junior than a Buba. You have a Jack. Is something like Jake too close?

Ooo, Hawk! I think I'll name him "Hawk".

Here are the results I posted on Cochins International Website. I have more pictures but did not want to make this any slower to load.

Some Results from the CI Western National show Nov26-27 2011.

There were just a little over 100 Cochin Bantams. A good repesentation of Large fowl. I don't have a good count on Large fowl but I am sure more than 30 and may have been 50. I took notes but this is not from an official list. Sorry if I list something incorrectly. Please let me know and I will correct.

I will keep breeding and going to shows as long as he wants to go with me. He didn't care that a better silkie was best featherleg. He is so proud of his birds and trophy.

That is a fantastic picture, and he should be very proud of himself! I think he looks like his Granddad! It's great to meet the future generation of Cochin breeders!!

If you had these chickens what would you breed together? A blue mottled pair, a black rooster and 2 splash hens? I was going to breed the two splash hens to the mottled to work on blue mottled, so should i use the mottled hen with the black rooster since he carries the mottled gene?

Also what would i get if i breed the 2 plash hens to the black rooster if he carries the mottled gene? Still BBS?

Thanks
