Matt I love that big black cockrel!!!! He is awesome and soooo nice!!! Makes me want to breed the big ones again but, I know I do not have the space, time, or patiences to wait for them to mature.

BooBoo grows a Tail!

When I last posted pics of BooBoo at 4 weeks old, she still had not started growing a tail - far behind growth development as I'm used to seeing. (It started the conversation regarding brooding at lower temps.) At 5 weeks - still no tail. On November 30th, at 6 weeks, finally a little stub!!! I even got her parents to take a break and pose for a quick pic!

This is my oldest smooth pullet. She was hatched Aug. 7th, so almost 4 mos.
