so i have this trio...and i have no idea what to do with them. im new to breeding birds and my main focous is silkies and showgirls. i wanted to buy one hen from this trio for my friends birthday. and the breeder would only sell me the three. i figured i could keep the other 2 and make some money back from what i baught them for in the spring. my friend cant take her hen tell she gets her coop finished next summer. i dont really have room for the 3. with 25 silkies and 6 rosecombs i doupt my dad wants to build another coop for theses guys. right now their with the silkies for winter. what do you guys think i should do with them?

Just from those photos, I'd say it's your friends loss! Looks like a pretty darn good trio to me! If you're not going to keep them, I'm sure you won't have any problem finding a buyer.

they were expensive little things plus i had to buy expensive eye drops for them cause one got a eye infection after i baught them at a show. the rooster i named gomez (one hen is selena) has a funny lazy eye...id like to keep them buy idk what to do with them

i was thinking that but hatching eggs in the spring i could get crosses and the roosters low in the pecking order so i would probley get no cochins from the eggs

My apologies to All because I haven't been on as much this past month as normal. But I just couldn't let pass all those beautiful Brown-Reds!! I hope the showhalls are full of Brown-Reds and Lemon-Blues next year. If I hadn't committed my coop space to Golden Laced, I'd be joining you with BRs and LBs. Please don't let these beauties fall by the wayside.
