Cochin Thread!!!

Yes, he has such a handsome head.
Of the 4 males I hatched, he has the best comb/head. Has 5 even points and a very nice medium size well set comb. I was tempted to keep him, but the two im keeping are a bit better in type, and I dont want to hurt myself in the long run by choosing a bird for its comb than its type. Judy Gantt has informed me that she has dibs on the 2 K's I dont want, so within the next few weeks I plan to drive down to her house and drop them off. And God knows, she will send me back with something, she does it every time. Lol

Sorry for all the pics lately, but I found this one, its not a great angle, but it shows how well the type of one of my frizzle and smooth pullets is coming along.

How well do your bantam cochins jump/fly? Mine have figured our how to jump/fly the fence so they are currently in lock down until I can work on it.

Some of mine will roost as high as 6'6". I had to add some boards to the top of the fencing that separated the breeding pens.

Does anybody have any pics of their Golden Laced Cochin Standards. If you do, could you post them.

I would check out the variety photos on the Cochin International website. Also there may be some pictures of class winners posted in the pictures of last years CI National shows.
