Cochin with pea comb?

Where did you get her? Her comb looks to me like what you get when you cross a pea comb with a small single comb. I'm thinking she could be a Brahma x Cochin mix.

Editing because I just noticed you said you didn't raise her. I'm going to go with Brahma x Cochin mix for my guess, then.

I got her from someone who was moving and had to get rid of a couple of her chickens to follow the ordinances. She didn't tell me any of the breeds of any

But look at those wattles (or lack of them.)
Is that normal for a cochin? (I know very little about that breed.)

Homozygous pea comb causes reduced wattles, which makes me suspect that this hen does indeed have a pea comb (genetically speaking).

I'm not saying she is a Cochin. I'm saying she doesn't have a pea comb, she has a single comb. She is very likely a crossbred in my opinion. I could see her have Brahma in her background.

What I meant is--if those wattles are so small because of the pea comb gene, then she must have a pea comb.

If it is normal for cochins (or some similar chicken) to have small wattles, then she could have any kind of comb and still have wattles that small.
