Once upon a time I thought about getting some gamefowl hens just to use as broodies but anyone around here that have pure ones wants a fortune for them.

Same here, if I want gamefowl hens or especially roosters it’s $100+ for a bird. This place is also a hotspot for cockfighting so it makes it harder to find nice looking birds.
