..... but I'm new to chickens. My eighteen-year-old fell in love with the cochins at the breeder where we got our silkies. He came home with three. The blue has started growing quite the comb and just the tiniest of wattle is visible while the two blacks have tiny little bumps for combs and no visible wattle growth. From what I've been reading, we've probably got a roo and two pullets, but I wanted the opinions of more experienced cochin owners.
Here's the blue's comb. It's not the greatest picture of a chicken comb ever. It seems all of my chicks would rather look another direction when a camera is pointed at them.
