Cockerel and a ? into the coop today

It was about imprinting. The first thing the chick sees, it thinks is it’s parent. 7th grade science class. We had just taken custody of our grandson two months before this, and thought it might be good for him to have them.

I just wanted to tell you that I love their names! I also 2ND the idea of bantams if that is doable for you. You could fit a few quite comfortably in your existing coop and I suspect your grandson would adore them. We have silver Sebrights and Japanese Bantam and they are great birds. Good luck!

It’d be better if the pictures were clearer, but what from I see the body shape and colour of feathers does not match the description of the black australorp, hard to see in pictures although. I have black australorps and they look nothing really like this when they’re young. Still a possibility it could be though.
