in order, penguin, boots, rose.

Penguin is truly the fattest of them all. I struggle to pick her up,, shes almost 11 pounds! she will litterally fight a chick for treats.

Boots is mainly fluff but also kinda fat. When she shakes she turns into a ball.

Rose just has a big bum. 🤷‍♀️

I have 4 more chickens, but 3 are teens and one is not fluffy or fat even tho shes a orpington

anyone else got some fat azz ladies?

They look like normal, healthy chickens to me, maybe just a bit on the heavy side. I have some show Orpingtons who are FAT girls and I've noticed the ones with particularly large abdomens seem to be more susceptible to heat stress that can lead to fatality.

Although that might not be as big of a problem in your area since you're up north.

Have you weighed them? What's their diet? It's likely all poof
Diet is just some normal chicken feed we get from the feed store, and when we have food thats about to go bad we feed it to them but thats like once a month. In hot summertime we give them frozen berries in a bowl of water or frozen peas, havent weighed them yet but i might soon

Boots gets hot very easily so i like to keep her in the shade. It likely is mostly feathers as she is a buff brahama
