I'm glad she was ok. I will probably make him something like that too.My pullet was attacked by a dog, which ripped a 2 inch patch of her skin completely off. I made her a chicken apron out of a clean sock, and dropped colloidal silver on the open wound every day. She grew her skin and feathers back in a short period.
I have him separated right now, and I definitely wont put him back with the others until he is mostly healed.Healing hen and purple lotion. Works wonders. Separate the bird honestly we bring ours inside when hurt.
Thats what we used. The fox ran into the woods, but there is another chicken that he killed before we could stop him and he has come back a few times looking for it. We do have the rest of our chickens in the coop.A non pain relieving triple antibiotic ointment works better than neosporin, and the pain medication in pain relieving antibiotic ointment can be bad for poultry. Have you dealt with the fox? It doesn’t appear too bad, chickens can heal incredibly well.
Thanks.Hope he feels better, I agree, clean him up, and put Neosporin on it.
