Cockerel conformation

I wasn't sure where to post this, so apologies if its in the wrong place.
I'm thinking of keeping this young mixed breed cockerel as a backup, or for a breeding project. However, I wasn't quite sure about his conformation? To me he looks a bit narrow between the legs and in the chest area?
My goals for good egg laying, and also a nice bit of meat. If he is a bit narrow, would that effect these goals in his offspring?

High egg production and High meat production are mutually exclusive traits, he looks fine as a dual purpose rooster.
