Cockerel Help - Aggressive towards pullets?

I had this problem too. Second in command was like a teenage boy on Viagra! He broke the beak of the #1 Roo. We finally killed him because he was causing more damage and chaos than cuteness. He is my profile picture. I still miss him even though he was an arshole. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Only time will tell.
I can tell you tho that having multiple cockerels brings out all their worst behaviors due to the competition.
Young cockerels will almost always try to mount pullets before the pullets are ready,
just how aggressively they do so is an individual thing.
I haven’t seen either of the boys try to mount the girls. They will dance and tidbit to their hearts content but I haven’t seen any attempts at mounting.. Darn these boys and their young minds :barnie Thank you for your input!

This is all normal stuff that cockrels do, they're idiots.
The severity of it at the start and amount left at the end are the only variables.
Time in between those two points though is annoying at best.
So, you can't stop him.
The best you can do is wait him out and see if he's half full or half empty. ;)
Thank you, in my opinion he’s already on the half empty side ... all I’m saying is it’s a good thing he’s pretty :gig

Thank you! Him and Peter don’t seem to scuffle too much. They both grew up together from chicks and neither of them seem to be to worried about the other, they take turns crowing in the morning actually. They don’t seem to mind having to live together at all

There was no fighting between ours either. I was shocked when I saw the other sweet boy bleeding and missing half his beak.

They all do that.
I hatched and raised the boys here and they still did it.
It does stop though.
I think they just do all the stuff when they're maturing whether it makes sense or not.
The pullets ignore 99% of it so that says something.:)
Did he act the same towards you as Artie does to me? The screaming like I’m a predator or something to warn the flock about?

Its only 2 of my pullets that have noticeably missing neck feathers, but I have seen him chasing one of the others. I think the final one is too smart to let him sneak up? She always catches him coming up behind her and takes off before he gets a chance. She’s the quietest of them as well..
Might I ask your pullet/hen to cockerel/rooster ratio?
Ten hens- six laying, at least five pullets
Three roos- two of breeding age, at least four cockerels and four we still can’t tell what they are.
