He's a nameless OEGB (Old English Game Bantam) of the silver duckwing color, currently a little more than a year old. He has no name (because I'm lazy) and his harem consists of two less-than-purebred-silkies and my namesake, Sylvie the cochin. (She's recently hatched five peeps to him.)
Three of my roosters are pictured below:
I also have some of his children by Sylvie, and the pullet is a plump little white hen with brown speckles. I have no pictures, but she's my favorite cross.
I have a lot of standards as well, the most notable of which is my rooster (not a hugely handsome boy, but a real gentleman.
My other rooster, father of half my peeps this past year, was this boy, an EE cross and not a gentleman: Dominic. I got rid of him this fall.
This is his daughter by my only bearded Easter Egger hen:
And the rooster in the foreground is this coming year's rooster. He's called BK, for reasons unknown to me (despite the fact that I named him)
And this is my favorite hen, with her chick (a rooster I butchered three weeks ago)
And this is this summer's breeding project (bantams. The chicks are Sylvie and the duckwing's)
I've got others (even the occasional purebred) but my OEGBs are the only show-quality birds I have.
