I'm not familiar with this type of comb.

I want to say rooster, but I would like to know what others have to say.

sh is a gold laced wyandotte pullet. that is a rose comb and they are a yearround egg layer. takes of 2 months for molt but will generally lay everyother day or everyday for 10 months. i love mine they are quiet and calm birds!

3 months? Most likely a pullet.

What type of comb is that? I was thinking maybe a cushion comb?

I thought pullet at first, but it's wattles are bigger and more red than my 5 month old pullets.

Like I said, I've never had a chicken with this type of comb though, so I really don't know how to tell.

Thanks!

Thank you!! Just saw your post!

At 3 months with that red of a comb large wattles and the deep red over the shoulders/wing bows, I would say it is a cockerel. That comb looks like a cross between a rose comb and a cushion comb. Possibly a gold laced Wyandotte cross.

She is not a GLW, but more than likely a cross with wyandotte being predominate. I'd also say she's definetly a she and if she's 3-4 months she should start laying in the next month or so. Her wattles will get quiet long... Here's one of my girls about the same age... Just before she started to lay.
