I want to make sure I’m understanding. So either separate or one of the roosters, or get more hens? How many hens per rooster does there need to be?

You need about 10 hens per rooster.

You can keep them all but you need to keep them away from any hens. They will over breed them and possibly kill them and kill eachother.

So the number of hens per rooster is about over breeding, not fighting? Say I do have 5 hens and 5 roosters, would it be okay if I put one rooster with the hens and then put the other 4 in a separate coop?

I've read of people keeping roosters together in a bachelor pad of sorts. I've never done it though.

Maybe wait for someone more experienced in that aspect to come. I've read it on here that some do it but I dont know what that entails. I'm sure a lot of crowing.

i got them from a friend when they were 3 days old... lol

This friend didn't happen to give you all the chicks they knew were boys did they? Because I don't know if I have ever seen luck that bad.
