You are very fortunate.

In a fit of helpfulness, it happens. Not usually an issue until I need a certain utensil in the midst of cooking and then -- uh-oh -- it's not there! (Don't we all have a favorite spatula?) And thus ensues an exercise in forensics trying to figure out the logic behind where it might be if I were he unloading the dishwasher.
(DH gets a little dotty in his advancing age, so it's just easier and quicker to try to find it rather than ask him where he put it.)

Exactly they don't remember when you ask and they may not know what you are asking for.
