[Ladies-Eight]

Grey and melting here. I broomed 2-3" of heavy wet snow off the roof of the run this morning.

How long till spring? Oh, right... 21 days to the winter solstice.

Which means... 22 days, and the days start getting longer! Then the chickens who aren't laying (hint, hint) will start thinking about it (hint hint)!

I am getting 14 eggs a day.

My new chicks are 31 weeks old.

The ISA Browns are giving me 0 to 3 eggs a day.

I am still getting like 10 a day cannot complain .. These are the birds I picked up on last spring and point of lay come summer

I am getting 1-2 pullet eggs a day. The third pullet is showing signs of "getting there," but the three hens are definitely taking time off now. Pale wattles and combs. They just got done with their molts, though, so they can take a well deserved break. Their new feathers look beautiful.

I'm the one who needs to practice some patience!
