Too many of these storms hit when we’re incubating or brooding. Last time my friend and I brooded chicks the power went out and she ended up putting them in a bucket to carry them upstairs and into a make shift cage in front of the wood stove.

My husband asked me why I didn't sleep well last night and I told him I was worried the power would go out. He couldn't understand my concern until I reminded him about what was in the bathroom in the incubator happily developing their way towards freeloader-dom and he understood.

He has the same connector that my power pack uses that attaches to RC batteries. He said when I get done with this hatching cycle he would start experimenting and see what wattage of batteries it would take and how long they would last. We also have an emergency power pack that we used in the office that needs repair. he promised to take a look at repairing it for me.

Morning. I have a 7+ hour driving round trip today, plus 3.5 hours of testing. As much as I want lots of coffee.. I don't want to make constant stops to go to the bathroom.

Hope everything goes well @Bonkerelli. Been there done that got the t-shirt although the farthest I had to travel was 4 hours round trip to Columbia.

Morning all! Decaf is waiting if anybody wants a cup of pretend coffee.

Woke up this morning to 3 eggs pipping! 3 more to go. Now the anticipation begins.
