I always found it sad that such a great dog was given such a short time on this earth.

Not long after loosing Tori I encountered a lady about my age walking her doberman. I greeted her and said in my best non threatening tone, 'and what a sweetheart you are!' to the dobe and offered her my hand to sniff. Within a few minutes, the dog and I were friends and I was happily thumping her ribs and scratching behind her ears. Her owner was amazed and told me that people usually crossed the street when she walked her dog, never realizing what gentle animals they are.

We got our new on demand water heater today. DH got the old one torn out and the new one mounted. They are so easy to install, only when he turned on the water, H2O was still gushing out of one of the pipes. Closer examination found that whatever had happened in the water heater, it had super heated the PEX tubing and that was the 'explosion' that we had heard. The edges of the hole looked like they had been melted.

That stuff ain't supposed to do that so we don't know what went wrong with the old heater but something caused the water line to super heat and blow out a 2 inch hole in it.

But new heater is up and running and hot showers tonight!
Yay, it's never fun with no hot water!
