Wife is brewing me one cup in a one cup pot being everyone has had theirs. I'm taking mine outside with some boiled eggs for a few of the chickens that are pets that will gather around me for some bonding time. That's an important thing around these parts.
If I go out with hardboiled eggs for my brood I'd better have them crushed up, ready to go and count my fingers afterwards. I've had one of my Egyptian Fayoumi hens see hard boiled egg yolk on my fingers, grab the finger and try to take off running with it.

Yup. I drop the egg and walk back as they slice and dice it. I've got a year old Cornish Cross rooster that is a gentle soul until he sees a boiled egg then he's more like a fighting game at the dinner table. He means so harm but it feels like he takes a finger off when he grabs it thinking is part of the egg. I learned all this the hard way. I'll surely miss this guy when he is gone. He moves slow. He carries a lot of weight. He's over 15lbs now.
