Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

Actually got to sleep in until 8:30 when one of the pack in no uncertain terms announced it was time for breakfast. Kind of funny because it was like she was trying to have an actual conversation about it. Then it was jamming to get the morning chores and watering done so that a true holiday could be enjoyed indoors in air-conditioned comfort.

Didn't get to the first cup until 10:30!

This pic came in with the latest Purely Poultry ad. I love it!
Hope everyone has a nice day hanging with their flock and not feeling too cooped up.

It is impressive. All of Ellis island and the experience of the immigrants - a lot of history. I've been there only one time and was really impacted by the history/significance of what people went through to enter our country. Once was enough - too many people for me.
Yes! There was also a concert on that had people read the words of some of the immigrants who came through there. I think it was called Ellis Island something or other. It was so moving! How they were so horribly sick on the ship and when they entered the harbor they were so elated. It was cool because the people spoke the words in the accent of the immigrant.
Gave me fresh appreciation for by the grace of God I got to be born here!
