animal fat in general in moderation is excellent... Its that prepackaged Dihydroginated Trans fat oils that are bad really bad.

A study of Irish Sheep farmers was done figuring that all that mutton would have their cholesterol off the charts. Nope. They were pretty much normal. BUT they also noticed that the farmers and family walked every where they went. And there were NO fast food places to be had.

This is why I make Ghee. Its shelf stable butter... Has a nutty flavor and the smoke point is high enough you can deep fry with it. Not that I would. YOud have to make about twenty or thirty pounds of butter into ghee in order to deep fry.
