I've seen those ugly kind of bugs out here - Le Fleche, do you know what they are called?

I thought they were stink bugs

Morning ya’ll. Didn’t get to sleep til three. - talking on phone to another night shift retiree.
Animals fed and now my turn. Coffee and the last of the banana nut muffins- heated with butter on it. Today is chilly- 55 outside. Got yard work, but will need a jacket. Can’t wait to see pics of those babies (hint, hint)

Ok, So cup of coffee #2, I picked them up, they all were in great shape, set them in the sink, everyone got a hiney check & beak dip, they all drank and ate, and then to the brooder they went. I kept the dogs out of the kitchen until the chicks were settled. I stuck my head in the crate and let the chicks come close, they did great. they ate and drank more, snuggled to sleep. I didnt want them to pile so I tipped the plate for a while, And, yes Ziva was a pain in the toot!!! Tony, he looked at them and just went to lay down.









As of this minuet, they are peeping and eating

So, how about some turkey bacon and eggs with sourdough toast? and MORE coffee!!

Morning Club. Thanks for the coffee second cup almost human it is still dry they say we are behind on rain.

Whooo, went to the store for groceries and TSC for dog and chicken feed. Stopped for gas- actually every pump had several cars in line waiting. Took the dogs to the vet for nail clipping and anal gland clearing. Then we went for our “I was good today” ice cream cone at the DQ. Now, after a second cup of coffee, am ready for yard work- after, a bath and doing laundry.

Well managed to clean the big girl coops.. Hip pain brought me to my knees .. We do not have gas shortage out here at this point do not know they seem to be working round the ransom demanded

DH canceled his vacation for next week. FIL called from Charlotte, NC, and said they are having a hard time finding gas. Really don't want to get stranded down there. Plus, our dog, Mara, is still having issues with diarrhea.

I guess staying home is really the only prudent thing to do. When DH goes down there, it'll be by himself. This was really the last week I could manage to go. We didn't want to be on the road on Memorial Day weekend, and my chicks are coming in June. Date still TBD, but I have to be ready for them to come.

Love the pictures, @GrandmaDeKorte! See everyone else's chicks is getting me through till mine come.
