We are in for 4 more days of rain. The river already made a huge mess in the woods and knocked down some of the fence hubby just put up!

Us too Friday is supposed to be dry and 37 and then more rain
oh no, fences are no fun to repair either.

I don't eat bread, pasta, cereal or any other grains for that matter but I did whip this up for breakfast. Sorry about the over cooked bacon.

sorry for that sean, i played more than work, but then i usually do, i only work when i have to, i like to cook so not work, play in the dirt, not work even when its time to can everything, i enjoy that too, work to me is what i did with husband running a business, and what you do is work, your birds are fun even cleaning pens and feeding, cause you enjoy them,

Yep, my birds are the reason I work! I couldn't afford the "freeloaders" if I didn't work!

Coffee was old and almost gone, so I brewed a fresh pot - have at it.

It will be great for the next young couple to raise a family in.

I think you feel about homes the same way that I do. I pass old, empty, neglected homes and feel sad for them. I feel especially sad when I pass my childhood home and see the condemned stickers on the door.

I do feel the same way about houses. They should be homes. Every house we flipped I would say to myself "this house needed me". And the new owners love their new home. It is the most satisfying work I've ever done.

I can certainly relate to how you feel seeing the condemned stickers on your childhood home. I went to show DH my childhood home only to find out it had burned to the ground several years prior. The barn, old outhouse, garage and pond were still there but the property is abandoned.

I have this unrealistic temptation to buy my old home and remodel it. So many memories both good and bad reside there. Up the hill to the left is the poultry farm I used to help at. Up the hill to the right the dairy farm where I helped. Directly behind the house the hill that we used to sled on. At the base of the property the creek where I created multiple ponds for my ducks and where I used to trap muskrats. Across the road the Sourland Mts where I worked my dogs and hunted. And the list goes on, and on ------------
