I really hope that things work out for you Shad and you can just stay where you are.
I don't think the Spanish will be throwing me out. The Catalans have already stated that there will be no change in status of foreigners currently living here. The Spanish government can overrule all that.
I eligible to collect my state pension next year. There has so far been no firm commitment from the UK that they will continue to pay the state pension to British Subjects living abroad.
Thankfully I have a full Catalan health card because there has been no commitment by the UK to continue the mutual health cover.
There are lots of other issues that are not quite so pressing.
It's just a background irritation at the moment but it could develop into a major headache.
Politics eh.

Good afternoon everyone. I spent the morning working in the chicken coop. Trying to provide a more dry area.

Sorry I didn't get the tea set up this morning. Will try to do better tomorrow.
Don't worry, someone always gets around to it. I was out putting another piece on the run! The perimeter is done, except the door. And I need to put some fill around the edges. Plus I need more wire for the roof. But I am getting there.

G'Day Y'all!
Snow overnight, thankfully not as much as predicted.
Supposed to keep falling most the day, in temps below freezing, but most will go east of me.
Got some shoveling and 'run roof whacking' to do.

It looks pretty to me but I imagine it isn't great to live with for any length of time.

I've noticed a few of you who deal with cold climates buy Carhartt jackets.
Which is the best version for worm work wear. It's resistance to rips I'm most concerned about. It doesn't need to be waterproof although if it was fully storm proof it would be a bonus.
Anyone got any direct experience?

I'd much rather deal with snow and cold than the heat y'all get there.

Warm work wear?
Most Carhartt is lined with insulation, either fleece or quilted batting.
But Canvas is pretty hard to tear, depending on what you're rubbing up against.

I have a Carhartt jacket.
Not sure it's waterproof enough to stand up to a rain storm,
but works great covered in snow from throwing snow with the tractor.
Same goes with the canvas bibs I have(not Carhartt) while sitting in the snow cleaning out the thrower housing.

It does snow here. Not much at this height and it doesn't last long.
Last year wasn't too bad during the summer. The year before I found very difficult to cope with at temperatures around 38C to 41C.
