I don’t qualify for meals on wheels in my town.
This isn't really 'meals on wheels', it's run by the township senior services program and paid for with a special (voted in) tax levy. They do all sorts of senior(60 and up) activities and trips.
Lunch and bingo was twice a month, the lunches went to twice a week after the lockdown, mostly pick up, until 150 meals are gone, I got put on the delivery list so am 'first in line'.

Kinda nice there then.. I do most if not all cooking here and am quite able to do so
being senior there are programs.. Allot has changed since the lock downs.. Not sure of the senior center it is Morton 10 miles down the highway

I'm always up for a second cup or coffee, or more. Thank you. The fried chicken dinner hit the spot yesterday evening. All in all I spoke to 3 "live" people yesterday. Wow! Then I woke up to an inch of wet, sloppy snow this morning. I'm coming out of my funk. I'm having trouble getting my order of HC from HD so I ordered some from Lowes. Hopefully I get something. I don't know if it's all these new chicken owners or somebody is hoarding HC along with TP. Good golly. I'm not surprised with the differences in the Senior programs from state to state @aart. I go to the Senior Center in a different town. The SC in my town focuses it's programs on "memory care." So I go to the one with programs geared for a wider range of seniors. They offer a wide range of exercise programs, games, hobbies and trips. The meal programs in all the SC's in Massachusetts are managed by one agency that is similar to meals on wheels. So home delivery is not an option for me. But, for now everything is pretty much shut down. They are still delivering meals to those who qualify. I'm happy they are able to do this. How is everyone else doing today?

17 days without being in a store- :th.

I was in Dollar Tree yesterday - not as much fun as I thought it would be. Maybe it never was fun, I can't remember. Cancelled the bus trip to grocery store today - just didn't feel like dealing with it.

Sooo. after checking out the cabinets guess I'll be having an open face (just one piece of bread left) bean sandwich. Tastes just as good as it sounds :sick

Dropped the Princess's car off for a much needed servicing and went to the Amish market. Everyone is wearing masks - lots of meat , vegetables, baked goods available. They are limiting the number of folks in the market at any time - one out/one in.
