I am starting a garden and last week I baked bread for my family , I’d like to learn to can and then I’d feel good with my chickens etc

And she’s a lucky woman. Welcome to the coffee clatch Julie. Canning is really pretty easy. I just do regular water bath canning, no need for pressure canning, yet. Check out the Ball canning website for information. I’m pretty much a homebody myself. I retired nearly 2 years ago so I don’t have to commute. Between my every expanding garden, the chickens and maintaining the property I keep busy enough.

The stores like Lowe's and Home Depot usually carry a book on canning from Ball.
