Bought a new coffee bean at Costco taste is great

Simply take a quart jar, fill it at least 1/2 full with item you want the flavor of. Fill the jar the rest of the way with highest proof vodka you can get. Put it in a dark place for about 6 months. You can start taste testing it at 6 weeks, but the longer you let it set, the stronger it gets. Pour the contents minus the fruit or herbs, into dark bottles. Fill the old bottle with more vodka. The things you are making into flavourings is good to use for one year. After that, you need to start all over again.

I roasted chestnuts in the oven tonight. You have to cut a slit in them or else they blow up!

Also started some seeds for sprouting fodder tonight. Alfalfa, and wheat is next.

My son gave us our Christmas presents when he was here. It makes me sad to see what he got us. I don't expect them to spend big money, but come on! Get me anything with goats and I will be content. It's not that difficult.
