That is sad, when your kids don't know you. At least you got something, even if it was thoughtless.

Kids are different these days. Even though we brought them up right it doesn't mean they kept that part of their education.

For example I live a hour and fifteen minutes from my daughter and she never calls. We have to call her. She never comes down to visit, so we have to go there to visit.

I have never been great at frosting but sure came out this time vanilla, cream cheese.. butter and confectioners sugar

True, but I have always been one to take lots of effort finding the right gift.

My son gave us our Christmas presents when he was here. It makes me sad to see what he got us. I don't expect them to spend big money, but come on! Get me anything with goats and I will be content. It's not that difficult.

I roasted chestnuts in the oven tonight. You have to cut a slit in them or else they blow up!

I did that once! I don’t think they were edible chestnuts anyway.
